I got a good deal on some ( 30/9.5-15) Mud tarrains with studs that I want to put on for winter.I have 245/75-16 BFG ATs on now that are the largest you can put on without a lift I understand. I measured my BFG AT tiers with a tape and they look like 30" tall and 8" wide at the tread, maybe 9" wide on the side wall. I would have to get new wheels. The wheels now are 16X7. I guess new wheels should be 15X7. Are 30/9.5 a close enough fit to my 245/75 ? Thanks Robert |

the 245/75- 16 will convert to 30.46" tall and 7.23" wide...the BFG's will say they are 30" tall...they'll be less as BFG and several of the other guys out there overstate the tire size...They'll also be a bit more narrow (depending if you go with a 15x8 or 15x7 rim)than the quoted 9.5" Looks like you'll be fine, you're speedo will read a bit higherand you'll be turning a few more RPMs on the highway...Good Luck!
