Fist off, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Secondly, yesterday my 95 Disco left my stuck in a parking lot somewhere an hour and a half before I had to be at the airport for my holiday flight (great timing Disco demons). My symptoms were aslow turning crank as if I had a weak battery. It had been acting up for several months, slow cranking, then fast cranking and a start. It got much worst yesterday (by the way-battary is 1 year old). Finally, in the middle of nowhere, I turn the key and get nothing but a "click". No turning over, no nothing. Tried to jumpstart from two different vehicles using two different sets of cables and nothing. No difference. Could this be a starter problem? Anyone else had the same symptoms? I always thought a bad starter mad a rapid clicking noise. I get just one click. As always, i appreciate everyone's suggestions and help. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. |

do a search for "tick" or "starter" and you'll find more info then you wanted to know existed. lame as it is, this is a requisite problem. |
