No not acid, but limited slippage differy. Look can anyonw tell me why my 05 disco does not have an LSD rear end? It occurs to me that the thing would be fantastic, even cross axled off road! Scott-OZ PS - I say that given that Toyota and Nissan have for many years (at least early 90's) had them as standard in Landcruiser and Patrol. |

Land Rovers never have. Well the new RR does, and one model back in the late 60's or early 70's did, but other than that, LR didn't worry about traction aids. Why not just buy a limited slip or a locker for your truck if it's important to you. That's what we've all done. -P |

Carter - on my keyboard the '9' is next to the '0' ! Cheers PS. What i was commenting on was the absence of it as standard not so much the need to fit one aftermarket. I have considered fitting a Lock Rite to it, but I just wonder what ethos was behind the lack of at least a standard type limited slip diff as standard. |

I wasn't doubting you, 9 is by the 0 on mine to I was just dumb and didn't think of that when I questioned you about your early aquisition of a 05. Back to your question: I would do an ARB if you want to do a full locker or a Tru-trac if you just want a limited-slip. And yes, I too find it a little odd they didn't include some kind of limited slip stock but then again my open diff truck has been known to walk all over others with limited slip and even a few with a locker. |
