Hello, Does anyone know where to find a short rubber antenna that will fit a D1? I have seen some but the base on them is rather large and looks like it would over hang the fender. Also, how do you install a new antenna? Thanks for your help!! Derek |

I would think about getting a power antenna. They are only around $40 and the same to install. The reception will be much better and it looks better. |

i will eventually get a metal whip type. no need to ever worry about breaking it again. if you have the radio on during a trail ride you can kiss the antenna good buy. my power antenna actually broke because it was not working and would not go down.......then it happened. |

I have the short rubber kind after having switched from the metal whip, after having switched from stock...and would have to say that the rubber kind is the best, it may not look the best (other rubber toys have been mentioned), but it does it's job. |

...oh yeah, I got mine at AutoZone. I'm sure Pep Boys or any such store will have the same thing... |

Just about any Walmart SuperStore has rubber replacement antennas. |
