My dash board in my 96 SE7 has warped and "bowed" up. Its like the sun has affected it. Has any one else experienced this? Can I replece the dash fairly easy? help

LR sells a repair kit for it. I think you can also get the kit for cheaper at Rover Connection, maybe Nathan has it too.

Speaking of dash type stuff, has anyone here ever replaced or installed a new center console cover plate? I'm talking about the cover plate where the shifter sits. The previous owner put wood there and I guess when it was new, it must have looked nice but over time, it's faded, and with big temperature changes between winter and summer, the wood plate has all cracked and looks like crap...plus stuff always flies off of there. I'd actually like to put the standard black pastic cover plate back there with that non-slip rubber cover. That seems a bit more practical to me. Just wondering if it's hard to do.

Alan,

Not at all, just order the parts from Nathan and do it.

LRNA will cover the cost of the "dash kit". This goes up next to the windshield and holds down the dash. LR had very poor glue which caused the problem worldwide. In many countries they replaced the entire dash at no charge! Call LRNA directly. The ••••••••••• will try to charge you over $200 for the job!

Mine was covered on a '95. I had it done in 2000.
