Jess: Yes, there is a second set of holes in the rails that lets you move the seat back an inch, which makes a much bigger difference than one would think. Just searched the archives and couldn't find the previous posts. You'll need a 1/4-inch ratchet and the proper size torx. I took off the seat to make it easier to access the rails. Sorry, can't remember any more details now, except that you do not have to remove the seat rails from the floor - what you are changing is the location where the seat attaches to the upper sliding rail. Look under there with a flashlight and it should be pretty easy to figure out. John |

According to the video which came with the DII. Recommends to move the seat forward during off road driving. Why does LR recommend Disco drivers to sit so close? Perhaps this is why the seat does not go back. |

I've got a 95 D1 and would really like to know how difficult to fab up a 1.5 - 2" rear seat relocation kit. Seems to me that the rear passengers get the short [sic] end of the stick more than the driver and front passenger. Should be able to reset the front hinge / brackets on the 60/40 seats (should buy 1.5") and then weld up an offset bracket to accommodate the upper catch for the rears? Has anyone done this? Ninety-five percent of the time, I have little more than groceries in the back - so I'm willing to sacrifice that mostly useless space anyway. e |

Like the Freelander & X5. Comfortable for passengers & slim on the cargo. |
