Could anyone here point me in the direction of a good aftermarket set of windshield wipers for a 00 Disco II. The last pair of OME didnt last very long so Id like to try another brand, but seem to be having trouble locating some, thanks. |

I put a set of Silblade wipers on four years ago - first two years without a garage, past 2 years with a garage. They are still doing their job! In fact, I think they are better than new, because when new, they would wipe the glass so clean it would get an opaque hue immediately after the wiper pass. That effect has completely disappeared. These are silicone material so they are not subject to UV degradation like other brands and don't get that memory shape during the dry months. Tom P. 96 Disco |

Tom, Where did you find those? I can't seem to get them locally, but I'm due a set this month and these would be terrific. -P |

For the Series II, I dont think you have many options. Ive seen a Bosch or Trico refill (cant remember which) listed in the books, but never seem to be stocked in any parts stores. When searching for winter blades, my dealer told me that they sell an aftermarket replacement arm and blade which will accept common refills, I think they were asking around $80.00 two new arms and blades. |
