Why remove them from a Disco? I would be proud of them. If they came from a not so impressive, I would still tell some wild story about how they happened.

"dent wizard" quoted me $300 cdn for a basketball sized dent in my passenger door. I mentioned the ALUM. part and he said "um, oh yeah, shouldn't be a problem" like to get rid of it before wifey see's it!!!!

I paid $400 to get 4 dents taken out, including a big dent on the right front quarter panel behind the wheel well where I backed into a stump.

what about that crazy dent puller they sell on late night tv ads. it looks almost like you could make a similar set up with some steel and some threaded rod and pads. The cneter puller gets hot glued on. did i just dream the system up or has anyone else seen that and /or used it?

Ive seen what you are refering to on TV.

I dunno about hot gluing... might mess up the paint.

a body guy in the Enon, Ohio area is looking at my GSR and advises me that the dent "sucker" is bogus. that you can remove dents from doors withour repainting. he tells me that you have to go from the inside of the door out. apparently those body work dudes have some tools that allow them to get in there and bump the dent out.

I tried that late night "Ding King" on my RRC and it worked out decent. Not great but better than a dent and having to pay someone to do it. The glue didnt seem to affect the paint. Although, when i tried removing a dent on my Moms subaru it created a dimple... in other words it made a lump.. now i have to find a way to push it back in so it is level. overall not bad for $25... but the PDR guys have some slick tools they use from what i have seen this summer as a i moved cars around as a lot boy

i saw something last night on the news about a guy who has invented a magnet and steel ball. it is used on tubas and now small airplanes. the ball looked to be about 4 inches in diameter and they placed it on the back side of the dent. then using a high powered magnet, placed it on the front of the dent. they moved it back and forth and pulled out the dents.

i don't know if this would work but thought i'd add it in here.

Car and Driver Magazine did a test on the dent puller with one of their long term test cars and had no suck-cess (lol). They did note that they where working on a dent in a tough spot but their final conclusion was it was not worth the cash.
