On my 1995 Classic with 3.9 V8. What is this hose called (part number) and can I just use some hose I find at the auto parts place? Also, any tricks to burping the radiator afterwards?

Ron-
Part number depends on your Vin#. There was a change midyear 95. up to vin sa647650 is either BTR216 or BTR217. From that vin is:
BTR8726-- heater to water control valve
BTR8727-- valve to heater
BTR4016-- engine to valve
BTR4008-- valve to engine
Not too sure about using bulk hose in this app, but none of them are very expensive
Hope this helps

I replaced a short heater hose today (it had two clamps and was about 4-6" long) that runs from the engine, next to the thermostat and clamps onto one of two lines leading to the firewall. Tried buying bulk hose but one side seems bigger than the other so I may head to the dealer to get an exact match because I am not happy with how one side fits.Anyone have the part number for this one?

I had the same problem with my 95 disco. I orderd the part from Rovers North along with a conversation with a very helpful employee who physically had to go get the part and look at it to verify the correct piece (i had ordered from XKS who sent me the wrong coolant hose twice). Upon removal of the leaking old peice, it tore from age and a screwdriver leaving me out of action. It is an oddball peice which you will not find at any hardware store. One end is bigger than the other and no regular hose will work. I'm sorry I forgot the number. Call RN.
