Anyone know of a good shop near Rockville, MD (besides the LR dealer) for getting work done on my Disco?

Dan,
this is a bit further, but the best area independent shop is Treasured Motocars Ltd (TMS). Run by a friend of mine (yes this is a plug) but he is also a Rover enthusiast who has a modfied Disco. His shop does all British and Italian and is equipped with an Autologic system to do all Rover computer related work.

Dan, what needs do you have. I can keep your oil changed, etc. but for the heavy duty stuff, try Trevors shop. Treasure Motor Cars ltd, yeah its out in Balt. County but he knows his stuff and he stops by here(D-web) once in awhile. Also, try City Imports-Glenn Burnie MD www.cityimports.com, and speak to Brad Taylor.(Tell him the guy with the BRGreen 94Range Rover SWB with the ugly ARB bull bar on the front who's waiting to get his rear U-Joints taken care of, who keeps sending him customers sent you! He'll chuckle and thank me later, but I get nothing in return, I just like to keep everyone and all in the area informed)...In and out service-none of that making appts. and keeping your Rover for more than one day crap.
Also if you are really in need(discounted parts from LR), I have special privileges to two Land Rover techs, and five parts managers- one tech from Land Rover Alexandria, and one from Frankel Land Rover(soon to be the premier LR dealership in Hunt Valley MD). Parts from LR ALEX-FRANKEL-LR GREENSBORO-LR WILMINGTON- What I mean by special privileges is I have direct lines of communication with these TOP TECHS who have received TECH OF THE YEAR AWARDS-and whenever the need arises I contact them after hours of course and usually the side money, and return "hook-ups" makes them go the extended mile for me- So in all, e-mail me at [email protected], and we can go from there........ |

Guess so -
I was at the new Frankel yesterday seeing Jeff Sines - looking for some f***ing drive flange bolts which of course they don't have. Still pretty disorganized since yesterday was their first day.
Also went wheeling with Steve (Frankel tech) last weekend - do you know him (j**p with American flag on hood)?

Frankel Land Rover has moved and changed names to Hunt Valley Land Rover.
Was your salesman- sorry Adventure Guide- John Bove or Rama Sibley? Both are customers of mine- tell them I said hello. And if you would like to stop by and see my shop, I would be happy to show you some of our Land Rover projects.

I meet John Bove at the Auto Show about a month ago in Baltimore and have spoke with him on the phone a few times so he will be the one i deal through this weekend. So far hes been real helpful and friendly. I`ll tell him you said HI.

I'll mod it up as soon as I can hehe. I`m from Pasadena/Glen Burnie area where abouts are you. I just ordered my DISCO WEB stickers..that should add to the Discos Fuel milage, boost its HP and give added traction. |
