They have the Kalahari, prototype, and a whole bunch of seemingly inovative products (mainly asking about suspension).

So are they all they are cracked up to be?

BJ,

On your self-professed budget, run away....

I've got a job and can't afford their crap...

"whole bunch of seemingly inovative products"

I think that's where it begins and ends. Some early innovation but poor quality products compared to what is now on the market.

BJ you would be better off buying the lastest version of $urfWatch software that prevents the browser from entering the most flagrant casheater sites--the $G website would then be out of your reach, but porno sites would still be ok :)

I like Safari Gard's diff guards and their bumpers. I have the SG front bumper and skid plate and I love it. It looks better than anything else out there and so far, it's held up to whatever I've thrown at it. The integrated skid plates are cool too.

Their prices are high. So, if money is your prime motivator, look elsewhere.

I'm not a big fan of their sliders and their suspension setups. It's over-priced for what you get. Their stage 1 stuff is simply OME and Bilstein parts which can be had elsewhere much cheaper. They've had failures on some of their more exotic stuff, so many people on this forum are critical of their stuff (and rightfully so).

They don't inventory their bumpers, so you will have to wait for delivery. It took me 6 weeks to get mine. Customer service is not great, but if you are presistent, they will take care of you.

Thanks,
Mike B.

If money was my prime motivator I'd be driving a Honda, not a Rover. I am not looking to buy anything, just curious to see everyones opinion, because I may want something in the future. I already have my next 3 mods planned! I wont pu them on this board though, because I don't want to be subject to harassment! :)

So, what exactly is the "3-link" product I see at $G website? I couldn't gather much from their page. Does it go on front and back or just back, and what does it do?

I don't like the way they do business. I had a $100 gift certificate, so I bought 4 brake lines ($100). I had to pay for shipping, so they took my credit card. They charged me $116 to my credit card, and wouldn't refund my money, even though they had the damn gift certificate. They even looked up the number while I was on the phone and verified that it was valid. I was young, and didn't photocopy the gift certificate. So I had no proof. The credit card company wouldn't do anything, safari gard wouldn't do anything. I got screwed and that makes me very unhappy.

Typical of SG! They won't be in business for much longer. I called from N.Y.(Long Distance) about several products, and they put me on hold for about 15 minutes, then hung up on me! I couldn't believe this. I thought this was bad, and since then have heard many stories that were much worse. I don't buy SG's stuff!
