I am replacing my rearview mirror and finally got it to break loose from the mount on the windshield. Yet, upon tracing the wire up into the headliner I can't find where it ends. Please help me get the disconnected so I can get the other one connected and on. Thanks in advance! Greg |

Greg, What year is it? does it have homelink?remove the dome light assembly and home link switches or the blank panel where it would be and you can access the mirror plug, You will have to pull down on the headliner alittle to get plug out. Cheers Joe |

It is a 97. I pulled the homelink out but didn't get to the dome light assembly yet. IF that's what it takes, then that's what I'll do. Do you think I could take it to a stereo place and let them do the work? Or is it really not that bad? Thanks Joe. |

Joe, Its really not very difficult to do. I just replaced my mirror a couple of days ago, and it took me about 15 minutes. Just remove the Homelink assembly, and leave the dome light it, it will help light up the area a little. You will see the mirror plug after you remove the homelink. The plug is attached to a little bracket that is screwed on with one nut. I found it was easiest to remove the bracket and unhook the plug this way (unless you have really small hands, there is not a lot of room in there!) Once undone, just pull the wire and plug down from the headliner. The connection of the new mirror is exact opposite. Hope this helps. Aaron |
