This morning, i was a hurry to move my car out of the driveway. In 5 seconds after ignition, I shifted to Reverse - then when shifted to D, the truck wont move. I even shifted to Low, High, 3, 2, and 1 - still didnt move. I notice these lights were blinking during the time: S,M (as in Sports and Manual mode)at the same time.

I turned off the engine, then restared. I was able to move the truck.

Whats going on here?? Do I have warm up?

My 2001 DII does that from time to time as well, I have noticed that it seems to happen when I shift really quick from Reverse to Drive for instance say the vehicle is still rolling in reverse and I put it in drive and hit the gas, I then get the blinking lights.

If I am careful and slow the vehicle then shift into drive it does not happen.

mine did the same - manual has some kind of listing for the problem

only did it once about a year ago but made me a little nervous.

Not sure wether its related or not but on a couple of occasions my key gets stuck and I cannot get it out nor start the vehicle. After a few minutes of assuming a seaman's role (for their linguistic abilities with curse words) to exacerbate my frustration, I simply put it in gear without the engine running and everything resets. Not sure if its related to your problem or not.
