I have a 95 Disco. When I lock the truck with the remote instead of the lights blinking 3-times. They give one long blink. In most cases the truck is then locked. Sometimes however the driver's door fails to lock. When I use the key in the driver's door all of the locks drop and I get the customary 3-flashes. Any idea what's going on? |

Probebly the lock actuator is bad in the driver's door. Similar thing happend to my 98 D1 last year. Took the driver's door panel appart (it was a total pain to do) and found the actuator wasn't completely locking the door. I replaced the actuator and all has been well ever since. A friend of mine had a similar experience with his Range Rover. So, check the actuator. Oh, by the way the actuators are really expensive, you try to source a used one to save big bucks. -Dave |
