I searched the archives and couldn't find this specifically. I purchased Hella 4000's to put on the Genuine LR brush bar on my 99D2. The fit is extremely tight. They rub against the top and side bars. I don't think I will be able to rotate the lights back at all. Is this normal? -John |

John, I'm not sure what you're asking but the only person I know what put on 4000's on a stock Land Rover anything was on a D2 with the stock A-Bar. I don't think the A-Bar is that much different than the brush bar as far as where the lights mount but it did fit. It might be tight but there is only one way to find out for sure. How far back do you need the lights to go? They should aim onto the road and not up. |

Yeah, I have this problem as well. I'm just waiting until I can afford my TJM front bumper, which should fix the problem. |

John, Here's an interim fix (think of Kyle's "fender relocation" philosophy). Make a pair or "relocation brackets". Get 2 pieces of 1/4" thick steel, about 2" wide by 3 to 4" long. Mark an drill 2 holes near each end of them, same diameter as those on your brushbar. Smooth, de-burr them and dip them in black Plasti-Dip. Bolth them to your brushbar, angle them appropriately and mount your 4000s to the other holes. Viola. |
