hey guys & gals
i have a brain buster (maybe it isn't?)
will a d2 factory adventure rack fit a d1.
my gut says 'yes' but with a little over hang front and rear..

yep, just put a D2 rack on my D1. I think I got the deal of the year. Paid 400.00 for the adventure rack and ladder! |

I had seen the rack and ladder on a used D2 sitting on a acura car dealers lot a few weeks back. I stopped to check the truck out and ask if the dealer would sell me the rack. They basically told me to go fly a kite. I watched it as it sat there for almost a month and the truck was still not sold. I stopped again and asked. well i guess i got the right person, cause he said 'sure, everythings for sale'and asked what i would give him for it. I told him 400.00 and he was actually excited. I think he would have sold it for even less. Well when i went to pick it up, he had the ladder off the truck for me as well. He told me that they were going to take the rack off anyway and put stock tires back on it so it appeared that it was never off road so it would sell faster. I guess my persistance paid off. |

thanks guys - especially jesse for tim's pics.
i've been offered one at the very silly price and i just couldn't refure. just wanted to be sure.
plus when i get my '03 disco 4.6L in a few years - i can switch it over....
