Melting tail light housing

Author Message   nick Posted on Friday, December 06, 2002 - 08:30 pm:    Is there any cure for the tail light housing of a 96 D1 not melting (top bulb tail/brake light)I think I saw a post about cool burning bulbs once, tried a search no luck. Any suggestions? I had to change both tail lights,don't feel like changing any more. Land Rover must have searched high and low for the most inferior plastic,great vehicle but no quality control.
