On my 1999 Disco II the overheat light comes on now. It started when it began to snow out. I'm not sure why its comming on but i don't think its actually over heating. Any Suggestion about this problem? |

The disco has 60,000 miles on it. Could i possibly need a gear box fluid change? |

Use the keyword search to the left, or scroll down and look for a similar thread within the last week. I think the consensus was a moisture problem in the connector, which is located on the hose/pipe from the transmission to the cooler in the radiator, low on the driver's side, under the coil and power steering reservoir. |

P.S. If you haven't changed your transmission fluid in the last 15 - 30,000 miles, yes it needs a change, but the light has nothing to do with service intervals |
