On my 1999 Disco II the •••••• overheat light comes on now. It started when it began to snow out. I'm not sure why its comming on but i don't think its actually over heating. Any Suggestion about this problem?

The disco has 60,000 miles on it. Could i possibly need a gear box fluid change?

Use the keyword search to the left, or scroll down and look for a similar thread within the last week. I think the consensus was a moisture problem in the connector, which is located on the hose/pipe from the transmission to the cooler in the radiator, low on the driver's side, under the coil and power steering reservoir.

P.S. If you haven't changed your transmission fluid in the last 15 - 30,000 miles, yes it needs a change, but the light has nothing to do with service intervals
