Okay A silly question...
Right next to the steering damper (where it's moving from) there is a large chunk of round iron with a rubber core that appears to be a damper of sorts... since i will be removing it it thought i at least know it's official name.. |

It's a harmonic damper [against driveline vibration, I believe].
Officially, it is a "Damper Assy Front Axle, STC3105" |
