Hey, Guys when i start out in first gear it my truck makes this wierd clank noise or click, is that common? It also happens whenever its a ruff shift, does anyone know whats up with my truck?

Hey Frank,

How many Miles? Was it ever updated with the cross drilled input gear in the T-case?

It may very well be the dreaded Mainshaft Spline wear issue. Starts out as excessive slack and clunking in the driveline until it manifests itself into all kinds of nasty noises, and then won't drive the truck anymore....

On the lighter side, it could be a bad u-joint, loose radius arm, or trailing arm, or upper a-arm connection. May also want to check that the front Panhard rod is tight, but this is usually a clunk heard in association with a turn, as it takes a lateral movement to generally hear this clunk... Couple thoughts, hope it is of some help, and hope it isn't the Mainshaft Wear...

Hey,

Thanks for the imput but i dont think its that cause the truck olny has 50,000 miles, could it be from off roading though?
