Hey all. In doing Disco maintainance I am looking for a way to check for computer faults and dash lights. I know that with my BMWs there are sneaky codes to check stuff like that, such as the gas pedal trick to read computer faults and holding in the reset button to check all dash functions. What Im wondering is, that since BMW had themselves so deep into rover, are there any other similar tips or tricks for the disco, or anything anyone out there would recommend?? THanks!!!! |

BMW didn't have much to do with D1s, for the most part they just sold them for a while and raised the quality control in the later years. A few other small things but nothing major. |

corey, head to the tech area and you will find lots of stuff you will find intresting and simple compared to the pre OBD1 stepping on the gas pedal and counting flashing lights we all had to deal with on the bimmers. the 94 and 95 D1's have a code box under the passenger seat and the 96 and later models are all OBD2 compliant and need a code reader to get the codes. your BMW OBD2 code reader will do the job if you have one. |
