Folks,
This past week, against all my better instincts, I bought a '98 Disco!

On the street, the Disco handles like a pig, the acceleration is akin to frozen molasses and my spidy senses have fore-warned me about all the repairs I may have.

BUT, BUT, BUT - the Disco EXUDES SO MUCH character I can't stop grinning from ear to ear. What a slick machine!

One last note, thank you to everyone who has contributed to this board. The information I learned from your posts were invaluable in my purchase decision.

Have fun!

Wash it? Damn..... I didn't know you were supposed to do that afterwards.... Hmmmm.... maybe that's why my green Disco doesn't look so green anymore....

Get it dirty huh?

I did that once and I got ate up with the dumbass.

Got my Jeep G.C. stuck in the mud. I was stupid and I paid for it with a very long evening. And despite my 3 hours of digging, I still had to get a tow.

My off-roading is now limited to dry dirt during day light hours when it's warm outside! ;-)

Oh, one last thing - clean up was a royal pain in the ass. I've never seen so much mud in my entire life.

I'll get her (the Disco) out there; just let me love on it a little longer.

Just find a deep pool of water (not too deep) and drive through it a few times.. That will help get the mud off

nah....i can vouch for leslie. that came from the MAR last year i believe. i bet i know where he did it too......at the bottom of the hill with a right hand turn and then a steep little climb to the left. just about every series truck died in the mud puddle. got a good running start too i bet.

Ewwwwwwwww, not those bugs again! I think it's a tie between Rob's mud shot and those nasty hay slugs. For me, I'd rather clean off the mud.......

You got that right, KJ, ... double yukky eewwwwwwwwwwwwww! .... Maybe that's why I seem to always prefer the desert ... Too much mud seems to bother me these days (not just the challenge so much as getting out and slogging through it ... i'm turning into old fart) However, last April in Anza Borrego, it was the usual swarms of butterflies and caterpillars .... pretty gross clean up, but nothing like that ... (yukky, yukky, ewwwwwwwwwww)

Congrats, Eric!
