I have a 02' D2 and now that it finally started raining in the PNW, I have found small puddles on my loadspace cover. After a quick inspection I found that the upper left rear door seal is dimpled and I suspect that is where the water is getting in. I pulled it away from the framework and pushed on the dimple but it will not stay out. Any one else experience this problem. If so, how did you fix it. I hate driving 45 miles to the dealer unless I have to. Thanks, TC

I had the same problem on a 2002 D2.

I took mine to the dealer, they adjusted the door and it's been fine since. They didn't do anything to the seal itself.

My door seal was squeaking like something from hell, and it was the seal rubbing on the flat metal it squeezes next to. I put some grease there and it went away. I was just wondering if adding a little grease (or even silicone, to pad it out) might help?

You can put talc or something on the seal too, and close / open the door, to see where its not touching.

unsure if this will help but where i live in outback australia there are a lot of dirt roads and i was starting to experience minor dust leaking in past the rear door seal.what i have done was to get some 5mm od rubber hose and feed it down inside the existing seal to give it some extra height.this seems to have stopped any dust at all entering now and it may work for water??

Thanks, tommorrow I am taking it to the dealer and I am going to let them deal with it while I drive around a loaner and finish X-mas shopping....

I've had the same problems with dust and squeeks on my 99 D2. I used silicone spray and it helped the squeeks. I haven't noticed the dust for a while either. Now the rear cargo door actually holds water back better than the rear passenger door. I even have a high water line on my back speakers to prove it.
