The service engine light came on around 84,000 on my 96 Disco. I know that it is a emmission reminder, but why come on at 84K? The Book says 50K or 55K. Could this have something to do with it running a little rich? |

It could be for a number of reasons. There are several postings about this subject. If you have an Autozone in your area they will check it for free and also clear it for you (they expect to make a buck off of parts, but no obligation). Then you'll know exactly what it means and no hole in your pocket. |
