is it my imagination or do the 4000's not fit in the lower mounts on the arb disco 1 bumper? when i checked the fit they hit the top bar and when the mount bolt was tightened the knobs would not loosen to allow adjustment of the lamp. anyone else encounter this problem? also anyone have switch mounting tips for these and rack lights (4-500's). |

The 4000s probably will not bolt directly into the ARB. Try a search, someone just typed up the specs of a simple little block that moves the mounting holes so they fit. |

They fit perfectly in my DII airbag ARB even with the light covers that were included. No rubbing etc. |

Just drill new holes about 2 inches out from the factory holes and mount the 4000's. Ron Ward |

i called arb/usa and they confirmed the bumper is designed for a 7"-7.5" diameter lamp ie piaa and that the 9" would not fit. knowing the tech guy i spoke to had nothing to do with the lame engineering i asked how they colud design a bumper and not accomo the most common rallye lamps made, if in fact they were truly an 'off road' part. obviously he had no answer but i just had to get a dig in...shoulda bought a safarigard... |

frank, thanks for the pics. strange but the position of the mount holes on mine did not allow the 4000's to fit without the lamp hitting the upper bar. i ended up drilling another hole forward of the stock holes and fabricating a spacer to raise the lamp so it would clear the bottom bar. works great. thanks again to everyone who contributed... |
