Looking to put my wife's MP3 player in her new Disco. Can't seem to locate an install kit. Wiring shouldn't be much of a problem, just need the deck to fit in the dash.. Also, if anyone does and they have a pic I'd like to see what an aftermarket deck looks like in there. It fits just great in my D1, but since there's more space in the D2 I was just curious how she'd look.. thanks.. Rob |

There's no install kit. I put a Clarion AutoPC in my 2001 DII... I used to have it in my 97 DI. IMO, the DII has less room to fish wires inside of the radio opening than my DI did. (The AutoPC has a TON of wires to fish to a brain unit, gps unit, cd changer, etc.) This wouldn't apply to you if you were doing a standard MP3 deck, though. The DII radio is a single DIN , but the face plate is either 1.5 or 2 DIN (I don't remember which.) I just left mine as a single, so there's some 'space' which used to be covered by the stock radio. I've seen posts about a face plate which covers the gaps left by a standard single DIN radio. -Tommy |
