Have a manual series 1 V8 and considerring putting an auto box in.
What other parts are needed?

Lessee.....
Kickdown and other cables
More ATF
Shifter mechanism inc all the mechanical bits under the plastic cover
Console if the shifter hole is in a different spot
? Different crossmember
? Any change in driveshaft length

C'mon you discobrainiacs must be more than this...

The transfer case has a different spline on the input shaft of the manual vs. the auto. Either the t-case would have to be changed or the different style input shaft installed. I'm not sure on driveshaft lenght but a call to the dealer to see if the part numbers are the same would probably answer this, same with crossmember. The metal plate in the floor will be different but i think the console is the same ( while calling dealer . . )

The t-case is the same you just need the spud shaft. Cruise ECU, Engine ECU are not the same but I think you can do without them.

Basically if you pull the box out of a complete truck and get the shifter and spud you could make it work.

Martin: You might have to deal with adding an ATF cooler too.....dunno if the stick shift has one....
