Hi Everyone, I am a new LR owner (97 DI, 87K mi, got it four months ago), and am new to the Board, but I learned really quickly that you guys are the experts on these things! So, I'm turning to you for some help... My Anti-lock dash light has come on, and the anti-lock activates occasionally (in the dry, on road). Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this? Are there inherent weaknesses is the system that I can look into (like the wheel sensors)? Are there any fixes that I can try before I have to turn it over to a shop ($$$!)? Thanks for all your help! - Duke |

Loose or bad ABS sensor most likely. I would try reseating them first, that usually works when mine does the same thing. It's a pretty common problem. If that don't work, pull the ABS fuse until you can get it checked, the light will stay on but at least you will have normal brakes. You will disable the ABS system by pulling the fuse, but it's not working now anyway... |
