OK, we finally got snow up here in Alaska and I have been driving wife's new 2002 Disco II. When I gas it or turn sharp and the ATC kicks in (at least I think it does, the light on the dash goes on for a while until the spinning is under control), anyway, every time this happens I hear a weird "Sproing" noise, like you took one of those coil spring gizmos that keeps your doors in your house from hitting the wall, and bent it over and let it go. You know, SPROING!!!, like some roadrunner cartoon. Is this normal? The dealer cant get it in for 2 weeks and they refuse to offer any diagnosis or even guess over the phone. |

Sounds normal. You'll get used to it. I never hear mine anymore unless I'm crawling over rocks. BW |

Very normal and I actually like the sound. I use it as *another* way of letting me know that the tires are slipping. |
