I have a 99D2 with a genuine brush bar. One of the lamp guards has some rust on it and I want to remove it to repaint. Question: Are the two nuts that hold in the lamp guard supposed to screw out? Mine will only spin in place. I have removed the plastic tops and can spin them with a screw driver but they still won't come out. I guess I could cut off their heads, but before I do any suggestions? Typical LR, something simple gets frustrating. TIA John |

They are rivnuts in the bar. When I am modifying the bars to fit on my bumpers I almost always have to cut the heads off and install new rivnuts. Kyle |
