help? the check engine light is on. ti usually has stemmed from the sticky lifter problem. how do i shut it off, i am going to have a pal hook up his code reader, but i want to shut it off... |

Your friend's code reader might be able to turn it off, if not Autozone's code reader will (they do it for free). Good lord it seems like I've become a freakin Autozone representative lately.... to many people asking about the damn check engine light. |

If it's a D2 it will also shut off after 20 cycles of starting the vehicle with no additional faults. |

I agree - no more topics about check engine lights - at least for a day or two! Buy reader / check codes / erase codes / fix problem / the end. |
