Everybody seems down on using their ARB compressor to run the locker AND air up tires, so which compressors are better for this dual purpose? Are there any alternatives that won't drain the wallet? Thanks in advance. |

Well, it just takes a long time and the ARB is not made for the duty cycle. I use an ARB compressor for my locker system, and a CO2 tank for my tires. You can seat a bead with a CO2 tank, can't manage that with the little ARB compressor! |

Mike read the post called �trail use of pneumatic tools� and that could be of some help. But I have helped fix a couple ARB compressors on the trail� oops. Like everything else when you put it under duress something will eventually give. I have seen relays melt (mounted in the engine compartment) a couple o-ring seal leaks but these were on trucks that had heavy offroad use so it seems a somewhat natural entropy (haa I snuck a John L word in there). Having air is nice, of course so is an on board welder, full gauges, winches front and rear, full cage roll bar� anyway you get the idea. The more I think of it that powertank is sounding pretty good� John how much are those going for (LOL). Ron A |
