I recently swapped out my front air dam for one with the fog light cut outs and fog lights on my '97 D1. I found the pigtails behind the headlights for the under hood fog light connection and believe I've identified the relay recepatacle (forward most behind driver kick panel) as this is the only one without a relay attached and the wires seem to match. I have the factory auxillary light switch and plan to place it beside the cruise control switch. However, I can't figure out how to complete the install. I'm assuming I'll at least need to buy a relay and possibly the plug that fits into the switch, but don't know how I'd wire the plug. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Joe |

Joe - factory switch location will be prewired - just pop the switch in and plug in the connector. I believe it is a green connector. It is tucked away behind all kinds of crap - some are easy to find and some not, but it is there. Then - like you said plug in the relay and you're done. Bill |

Thanks Bill!! It is indeed a green connector, almost gave up on finding it, but finally did; also found a same-style black connector with it (any ideas?). Now where can I find the factory relay? Anyone who has cut off their air dam/ fog lights willing to send me their factory relay? -Joe |

Joe, Relay is generic - any parts store variety will do. Can't remember the amperage off hand though. Bill |

Radio Shack even has 12V/30A (SPST) automotive relays for only $4.99. Bought one last week for wiring up my hella's on the loof rack. Works great. Dave |
