every time i hit some bumps or when i am driving on rutted roads(driving with the ruts) my steering seems to wander or want to do its own thing. some times i feel like i am fighting the steering to control it. is this my tracking bar? or is it the swivel bearings and shims. also if anyone can provide me with a link to where i can fix the swivel bearings etc would be most helpful. I would be most grateful...

You might want to check the steering damper, small shock behind the axle could be worn. What year is your Disco? Milage?

Could also be your panhard rod bushings.

For info on replacing bearings check out: http://www.spanishtrailrovers.com/Tech/Maintain/Wheel_Bearing_Replacement/wheel_bearing_replacement.html
