I've noticed a bit more play in the steering lately, anyone know what might be the cause of this one? |

Lets see... Swivel pins, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, steering box, steering wheel linkage... Lots of stuff under there... You should have a fiend that likes you rock the steering wheel back and forth through only the "play" while you crawl underneith and look to see what's moving the most... Then start there |

Yes, the steering box most likely needs adjusting. There is a nut on the top of the steering box, in the center is an internaly socketed "screw" loosen the 19mm nut then tighten the screw little by little until the steering firms up then retighten the nut, your done. |

Biggest cause I have seen is the aluminum coupling right at the box. It gets loose on the spline of the steering shaft and bad shit happens.... Kyle |

might need a new box. adjusting the steering box should be done by someone familiar with the mechanics. don't just start cranking on it and go for a test drive. over tightening that nut will end up with more "bad shit", as well as, too loose. new steering boxes are pretty pricey. |

Just thought I would say that I tightened the screw on the steering box a bit, and now have 1/2 inch play, rather than twice that much. It was very easy. Thanks |
