I have a 95 Disco 5 speed that makes a whining noise when I put it in 5th, but none of the other gears make noise,it has only 85k and runs pretty well other than that, any ideas?? |

FWIW My Defender gear box makes noise while driving. I expect thier to be noise associated with a transfer box that has hellical cut gears, as to how much noise well not to sure??? In my truck all the gears make some noise the people at the dealership said my truck was in good health. I havent heard many manual Rovers and never a Disco. Needless to say thier should be some noise given all the gears that are turning. |
