Hi, I just bought a Disco 94, with 81k Mls, The Disco Appear that was used in the snow, and has a lot of Rust under chassis. It is something to worry about?, do you know how to fix this ?, or something to avoid more rust ? Thank you So Much, Fernando Miller [email protected] |

I think, that the rust is in surface, I didn't see any hole in the frame, but there are Rust everywhere. |

I had this problem on my 88RRC. I removed as much as I could first with a pressure washer then with a wire brush. After I got down to metal I painted the frame with POR 15. Do a seach on google and find the web site. Good stuff. However, others swear by waxoyl. These rigs are rust prone. Don't let the Aluminum body panels fool you. There are many nooks and crannies for mud, dirt and road salt. Be sure to check the rear wheel wells and sills. Don't let this problem go untreated. If you do, it will get up into the pillars and might get beyond reasonable repair. Good Luck. -John |
