Anyone have problems with their ARB lenses melting? I recently changed both bulbs and found the middle part of the lenses had partially melted. These are the stock amber lenses that came with Discovery 1 ARB non-air winchmount bumper.

Are there replacements readily available?

i had the same problem, i had to take my truck in to have the arb lights rewired to be turn signals (they melt if they run all the time)....and yes there is a replacement lights kit on www.4wheelparts.com...here is the exact link:

Hope that helps..

Common problem - ARB gives you a bulb that is much too large for the application (an 1156 I think) - simply replace it with a bulb with the same size bayonet mount, but a 5 watt bulb - available at any parts store (can't remember the number right now).

Also - ARB will replace the melted lenses if you bitch.

Sylvania
5007 (R5W)
European Lamps

This is a standardized bulb number I think, but I bought this at pepboys and it is a 5 watt bulb that will fit into the ARB fixture.

I had the same problem. :)

I didn't use ARB lamps... For the sake of being cheap i used my originals... Instead of srcewign them in (you can't they're too small) I used a couple of black wire ties to secure them to the brackets... Cheesy but it worked and no melted lenses...
