The clock light on my '96 Discovery has been a constant problem since new. I'd like to replace the bulb myself this time, since my nearest dealer is now 85 miles away, but cannot figure out how to remove the clock. Other sites have indicated that there are plastic retainiing clips (some say top; some say sides). One posting sugggested using two credit cards (top and bottom) to trip the clips. I've tried that and other suggestions to no avail. Can anyone offer a tip that actually works? Many thanks! |

Take out the cc and fog switches, then reach underneath in that spot and feel around, push and push and eventually it will pop out. All one piece if all goes well inc. the hazard light switch. After you get it out the first time its easy. Good luck!! |

I found that removing the switches below by pulling them out. And then sliding a flat metal paint scraper/ plaster spatula in the top and it releaed the clips easy. |

Thank you all for replying to my inquiry. The putty knife trick (I used a thin, flexible one) worked like a charm. |
