I had a verrrrry noisy Cat! Sounded like a rod was ready to come through the block! In the end it was getting red hot when i put the gas to it, that's an indication of to much unburned fuel burning in the cat which will ruin then right away! I searched high and low and found that one of the spark plugs wasn't working well... I'm OBD2 so i expectaed that i'd get a check engine but the prior owner pulled the bulb? Anyway a $1.50 plug cost $170 for a new cat to be installed |

Keith, you paid $170.00?!? Shoot, I was looking at $1500.oo just for the part at the dealership and I thought I was slick when I was thinking about ordering a cat from online at $490.00. But $170.00, what did you have replace, the whole Y pipe? "Rover Owner", was it your CAT that was making those knocks? |

You can replace OEM cats with summit racing cats for cheap. Do a search and feel the love. |
