The continuing saga of Paul and his Disco now enters a new phase. I finally got the top end buttoned up and the new water pump on. The only hitch was that it took quite a while to purge all of the air from the cooling system. If that's the worst part of the ending, I'll take it. FWIW, the truck starts better, runs smoother and has a noticeable increase in power. While I wish I had been more diligent in maintaining my coolant concentration, at least I know the top end of my engine is new! I didn't really need that winch I would rather have spent the money on... Peace, Paul |
