Here's a great way of starting the New Year...2001 DII SD...Here's the issue; Put transmission in neutral, t-case in neutral, shift transmission back into Park with t-case in neutral...I hear a "Clicking" and then it finally goes into park. Is this the parking prawl? Dealer says there isn't a problem, but call me crazy, if that were break off, wouldn't it trash the transmission? Frank |

Why are you putting the t-case in neutral before putting the car in park? |

Ouch!! Man , dont do that!!!! Its the parking pawl trying to grab a cog on the castelated gear on the output shaft.... When doing that shift to Neutral and then let it sit for a second before going directly to park. Kyle |
