This was Printed in my "2001" Disco 2 manual. "While carrying out maintenance operations, it may be neccesary for the dealer to lock the differential between the front and rear axles." This was written in reference to the Dif lock illuminator on the dash. How and why do they do this? KD 2002 Disco 2 "without the infamous CDL nut" |

When needing to use a "moving road" (I think that was the term used in the Service manual), they would disconnect the propshaft to the axle that wouldn't be on the rollers and lock the CDL to enable to other axle and hook it up to the dyno or whatever. |
