Help. I live in Tanzania (East Africa) and have 1990 dico. Excellent of road and in the bush. 2000km ago I had a new timing belt fitted which took 3 days as the mechanics really struggled to get the timing right.. I have just had pston number 1 hit the valve the result pushed the push-rod into cam-follower which then broke and punched a hole in the block..Result engine rebuild..My quetion what causes this to happen..Timing or a freak accident?????
