Turns out the problem I mentioned before about possible tranny (rpm >3000 no subsequent increase in speed) was the a bad fuel pump and filter. How hard is the pump to change and is it cheeper to buy from crabtree.
Thanks

call nathan and buy a manual first, then the fuel pump, Best $110 you will spend. Tells exactly how to access the fuel pump. JMcD

Fuel pump is under the rear mat/carpet. There are 4-5 screws that you need to remove from the access plate to get to it. Once the access plate is removed you'll see the pump. Take the time to clean the area around the pump of mud/sand etc. so it doesn't fall in the tank when the pump is removed. There is an electrical connection and two ferule sp? connections to remove. You can use a screwdriver or similar tool to remove the black retaining ring which holds the fpump on place. The pump should lift right out. BTW, I just picked up a new pump from Dee Cantrell(DiscoDad) and Nathan for my 95 Disco for $175+s/h.

Dont forget to check out the alternative US pumps from AC, Delco etc - see rangerovers.net . Only a few minutes to fit the pump into your old assembly. New genuines come as the complete assy ONLY, most of which you dont need.
