While I was doing a 60000 service on 98 disco, I noticed front and rear seals on the diff were soggy, and small but apparent oil leaks on both diffs. Are the seals a DIY project that I could undertake, or should they best be left up to a dealer or qualified mechanic? Thanks, Ron C |

Ron do you meam that the leak is at the junction between the third member and the diff housing. If so read third member install in the tech section Ive used permatex ultra black with good results |

...or if it's at the diffnose, it's very simple (chk Ottos homepage: http://home.halden.net/discovery). Check for blocked breathers - very common problem! Frode |
