I am putting a Warn HS9500 in a ARB bull bar on a Disco Series II. The directions from ARB are for 8000/9000 & 10,000 lb. winches, I followed the 9000 lb. directions & the motor is on the wrong side for the cut out in the frame mount. Should I reverse it & use the 10,000 lb. directions for rotating it ? I ahev read earlier postings that the 9500 winch will not fir but ARB told me it would as long as I didn't get the 9500i. Thanks, Brian |

Space it. Get some 1/2 steel strips and then grind a bit of the metal on the bar away. Ron |

Is your ARB air or non-air bag? |

It is an air bag ARB. |

The reason you reverse the 10,000lb winch is because the motor is on the opposite side of the winch than the 9000/9500 series--so reversing the 9500 won't work. Where is it hitting? |

Look in the tech section on this site. There is an article on an arb winch install that might give you some alternate ideas if you have already purchased that winch. Good Luck |

Thanks for information. The HS9500 is about 1.5" longer then the XD9000 on the motor side, the problem is that the frame mount on the passenger side will not clear the motor. The only way i can figure out to fix this is to notch the frame mount like the drivers side to accomadate the motor. I have ARB checking into this now. Thanks, Brian |
