Hi All, I may have posted this twice (in different locations and if I had, I'm truly sorry). Here's my problem..... I have a 97 Disco I with two front bumber Hella 1000's (and with stock OEM battery) and due to out of town travels over the last year (without the Disco), it had only been started this winter a few times. After sitting for over 2 months this last time ( I don't plan on this happening again) it wouldn't start and although a jump got it going, the battery apparently wouldn't charge. I assume it's just the battery (not alternator) since before letting the car sit for so many months, I this I haven't had a problem with the battery. My question is I am planning to purchase either a Optima Red top or Yellow top....if the vehicle for now is only to have one battery which one would you go with? I live in the Mid-Atlantic if climate (temp) is any concern and other than the front bumper Hella's, I have no other optional equipment that would cause high battery drain. Thanks for your input.
