Im trying to find out what the best oil is to use in the older LT77 Gearbox in my Discovery. The manual says to use an older type of ATF (automatic transmission fluid). I dont know if the newer dextron II or III is compatable. I was told to use a synthetic garbox oil (valvoline transtrac) but since using that Ive buggered the bearings. The local landrover agent is a bit vague so would like to get some feedback on this. |
