I have the stock jack in my truck and I was woundering if it will actually jack the truck enough to change a flat if I have an OME HD lift all the way around...should I be carrying a few small peices of 2x4 to raise the jack platform up in case I blow I tire? I dont have sliders or a higlift.. Thanks...joshua |

yes Josh, the stock jack fits under the axle, so you only need to lift it about 2" to clear the tire off the ground. the hi-lift is probably the least useful tool in changing a tire, unless the circumstances totally prohibit using the stock or shop floor jack. you'd need to jack up the front or rear or side about a foot to clear the wheel, and it is nowhere as safe as using the floor jack. few pieces of 2x4 are always useful, top it off with a 1'x1' piece of 1" plywood peter |

forget the wood its a hassel sit the factory jack in your shovel(you do carry one right?) and slide it under and crank shovel works great under a highlift as well. |
